Retail Center Repositioning

RetailRemix is profiling repositioning projects of all shapes and size.   We are exploring the various ways that new life is breathed into old and tired retail centers to make them more current, relevant and vibrant.

I recently did a Panera deal in Cerritos where we actually spearheaded this type of redevelopment/repositioning project.  It was the Cerritos South center on the SW Quadrant of South St & Gridley.  It was an old tired center with the only bright spot being that the old Hoff’s Hut had recently converted to a high-performance Lucille’s Smokehouse  BBQ.

The center is being reborn as Landmark Square and it will surely make a big splash in this trade area.  The landlord took suggestions and requirements from Panera Bread seriously and hired Perkowitz+Ruth Architects who really brought this project to life and guided this redevelopment every step of the way.
